At Pixel we have taken the principles of Passive Haus and applied them to produce a Pixel Passive standard building structure.
Our Pixel passive house specification is the first in the UK specifically designed for light gauge steel and offers a cost-effective alternative to other building systems such as block & render, timber frame, SIPS, ICF or straw.
We ensure that the 5 principles of PassivHaus are applied, namely, high thermal insulation, hugely improved airtightness levels, triple glazing, thermal bridge removal and the use of MVHR systems.
Our LGS Passive™ building process is intended to guide you through the intricacies of building a passive house and our offering is such that once we leave the site you will have a beautifully designed eco home, an LGS structural frame with high insulation values in the walls, floors and roof.Enquire Here
Pixel Passive Build Standard
Externally the building is finished in clad (timber or composite), rendered or brick (slip as standard) dependent upon your choice.
The building will be supplied and fitted with triple glazed windows of your choice or windows specified by us.
Thermal bridge calculations will be prepared within PHPP if required or separately calculated to ensure that bridging is kept to an absolute minimum.
At the same time as the structural calculations being completed for your project we will design, specify and install your mechanical ventilation and heat recovery system.
Finally, before we depart, we will carry out an air test to ensure that the air exchange rates conform to the standards required of a passive house.
At this stage you will be able to complete the fit out of the house with other trades knowing that it is water tight, airtight, thermally excellent, and fitted with a correctly designed and installed MVHR system.Enquire Here
